About Saskatchewan Archives Board

The Saskatchewan Archives Board is an arms-length government agency that has a mandate to seek out, preserve, and encourage the use of the documentary heritage of Saskatchewan.

We have acquired textual records, photographs, videos, film, and cassette tapes (just to name a few varieties of records) from people from all around Saskatchewan, from all walks of life and from many different eras. Most of our records are open to researchers and are used in varied projects such as writing books or movie scripts, compiling family histories, as evidence in legal cases, or to complete school projects.

Both the Saskatoon and Regina offices are open to in-person and telephone researchers from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, or inquiries may be submitted via our website at http://www.saskarchives.com/web/contact.html

  1. You should ask people to submit Saskatchewan photos for identification. I bet you’d get lots of good images for your archive.

  2. Not a bad idea, we have a bunch of photos (Off of photo plate which we have no idea who these people are.) That being said there is a lot of question as to whether these photos were even taken in Saskatchewan.

  3. Looking through the photos was most entertaining. Should you have a pic of my gggrandfather Andrew Flett an early pioneer, I would luv to see it!Thank you, Nora
